Mandy Wiesener aka Frau Wiese lives and works in Frankfurt, Hesse. She has been working as a freelance artist since the end of 2014, and experiments with unusual materials in all her series. Inspired by ZERO founding fathers such as Günther Uecker, ZERO companions and representatives of concrete art and the desire to take up the clear and reduced visual language and combine it with new techniques and mundane everyday objects.

“Appreciate the everyday, the ordinary. Find the beauty in everyday things and admire what can be created through care and creativity. I love order, I love structure and the possibility of using all the facets available to me to break through the apparent parable in order to break through the apparent parable to make the work unique. In my works I create an antithesis to the current color frenzy, the (digital) flood of images. I want to give the viewer the opportunity to escape this sensory overload for a moment.”
