Concurrently, the hyperrealism of her works necessitates a considerable degree of imagination, given that they are founded upon reality and integrate disparate perspectives and lighting scenarios. Margarita seeks to identify the tensions that emerge between the real and the imaginary. Her trompe l'oeil is in conflict with the principles of abstraction, which ultimately reveals the painted reality to be an illusion.

Margarita Montgomery was born in 1996 in Minsk, Belarus. She pursued her studies at Burg Giebichenstein in Halle and in 2022 at the HGB in Leipzig.
