Tanja Hirschfeld

Tanja Hirschfeld pursued her studies in communication design at the University of Munich, graduating with a degree in photography. She resides and is employed in Munich. By employing a range of artistic techniques and symbolic languages drawn from diverse cultural traditions, her works serve to facilitate cross-cultural understanding and bridge the divide between individuals of disparate backgrounds.

Following an exhaustive investigation of classical glaze oil painting, she has established her own abstract-figurative formal language, which employs geometric color harmonies to a notable extent, as exemplified in her series "MORPHS." In her oil paintings, she endeavors to narrate tales of longing and deliberately counterbalance the prevailing global circumstances with a sense of clarity and order. Driven by an inner longing for minimalism and meditative craftsmanship, she creates motifs that evoke the imagery of fortune-telling cards.

In addition to her oil paintings, she frequently engages with textiles, as evidenced by her participation in the 2023 group exhibition, "Hey, dude!". In 2023, the artist participated in the exhibition "Museum and Generations" at the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich. Additionally, Hirschfeld's works have been exhibited in Italy, Spain, Belgium, and the United States, and are held in private collections across the globe.
