He finds inspiration for his works in the streets and facades surrounding his university - an unpopulated German village idyll. The colors and lighting make the works look almost like postcards, drawing the eye to the aesthetics and beauty of urbanity that is otherwise overlooked when driving through. Like stage sets, they seem to be waiting to be brought to life.
Lukas Zimmermann was born in 1999 in Troisdorf and has been studying at Alanus University since 2019.
