Jonathan Kraus plays with the boundaries between high culture and commerce by combining figures from classical art history with elements of pop culture. His humorous works invite us to question established hierarchies in the art world.

He is a graduate of the HfBK Dresden (2014) and HGB Leipzig (2018), was awarded the Leuchtturm1917 Award in 2021 and was a finalist for the BBA Artist Prize and the Eb Dietzsch Art Prize. His works have been shown in numerous exhibitions throughout Germany and he lives and works in Berlin.
