André Schulze is an artist and painting restorer from Dresden. His work is primarily dedicated to the restoration and redesign of old paintings. He studied fine arts and graduated in his hometown of Dresden in 2011. The artist uses old original paintings from private collectors, antique and gift stores. He first thoroughly restores the often badly damaged old paintings before painting them with his art. Through the restoration of the artworks and his modern interpretation, he sees his work as a kind of second life for forgotten works of art, which he makes accessible to the public. In his art, he tries to treat the paintings with respect and not to destroy them. He wants to enrich the paintings with his art and connect them to our present day.

André studied painting/graphics at the Dresden University of Fine Arts from 2006 - 2011, graduated with a diploma in 2011 and was a master student at the Dresden University of Fine Arts from 2011 - 2013.
