Sebastian Herzau lives and works in Halle a.d.S. The recurring element in his works: his light-footed play with reality. The Batman masks have been a recurring motif for some time and exemplify his joy in experimenting with materials and their depiction. But the still life and the portraits are also representative of major themes in his work: illusion and alienation in acrylic on canvas.
Sebastian Herzau studied art under Prof. Ute Pleuger at the Burg Giebichenstein Art Academy in Halle until 2012 and has won various art awards. His works are represented in public and private collections.
