Between Superstition and Clarity

Sebastian Jauregui, born in 1995 in Cali, Colombia, creates paintings that navigate the space between figurative representation, symbolism, and conceptual clarity.

Jauregui lives and works in Berlin. His work is characterized by clear compositions, layered color fields, and a controlled formal language, significantly influenced by his studies at the renowned Royal College of Art in London and his background in design. Still lifes, portraits, and symbolically charged objects are not simply depicted, but deliberately arranged and condensed. This results in reduced pictorial spaces, precisely constructed yet simultaneously full of psychological tension. Themes such as superstition, cultural rituals, memory, and personal projection run through his work as recurring motifs.

His works have been shown in various exhibitions in London, Berlin, and international contexts. At the same time, international attention from collectors for his work is growing steadily. In particular, the combination of contemporary figurative painting and design-oriented pictorial construction gives his practice a distinctive presence within a young generation of European artists.

E30 Gallery is proud to present works by Sebastian Jauregui.
