Fragments of Now
28 June - 8 August 2025
The group exhibition "Fragments of Now" brings together four artistic perspectives that approach people and their environment in unique ways. Figurative scenes, humorous self-portraits, snapshots of everyday life, and model-like constructions come together to create a fragmented portrait of the present moment, offering observations that are sometimes playful and emotional.
Paintings by Raphael Paulun are on display. He usually depicts himself with irony. Also on display are works by Maria Leisner. Her “Pure” series shows people in motion — falling, jumping, and floating. Mollie Campbell portrays people in moments of quiet intimacy. Lukas Zimmermann's works oscillate between suburban idyll and collaged, model-like studio fantasy.
"Fragments of Now" presents excerpts from our present — observations of everyday life captured in diverse artistic styles. The exhibition zooms in on the supposedly banal—everyday situations, fleeting gestures, and the spaces and bodies that surround us. With a mixture of tongue-in-cheek humor and profound intensity, the works allow us to explore the familiar with a fresh perspective.
